very nice Ms. Sparks.

although - the second piece (which I found delightful - and was my favorite of the two) does smack of narrative.

just sayin...

Yea! The Dairy Queen Review is out! Congratulations, Miss Amy, who I never get to see!

Salinger: Yeah, I know, I know, narrative. Do as I SAY, don't do as I DO and all that...but thanks for the compliment. You too O'Brien, and we'll be raising a glass soon for you...And Dixie! Dairy Queen Review! Too funny.

Dork, you're way ahead of me on that myspace "slang thang"...but I think it's a compliment? so thanks!

Jewell, In my usual blundering way I'm headed for AWP, yes. Will you be there???

Amy- you bet it was a compliment. Just recently I have become fascinated with MySpace. My jaw drops when I am exposed to the postings and random acts of verbiage left behind on peoples pages. It is a whole new spin on "english". I highly recommend taking the time to set up a username and password.

Beautiful, both. (Nice artwork at the mag, too, I couldn't help but notice.) Krakatoa sky killed me. I like narrative in poetry - sorry!

I'm really hoping to be there. I'm going to try to stay with my cousin in Manhattan. This is, of course, if I haven't cracked up from the six classes I'm teaching next semester. But, right now I'm planning on it (AWP--not cracking up!) yay!
