another goodbye

Cleveland--and the wider world of writing--has lost a bright light: fiction writer, beloved teacher, mother, wife, and friend to many, Sheila Schwartz, whose sardonic wit was always a pleasure. Blessings to her family, friends, and students.

Maureen, sorry you had to hear it from this blog.... I don't have many details. There is no funeral. There will be a memorial/celebration in February when her novel is published.

At least I heard--thank you Amy. Sarah emailed me. I'm going to try to come back in February.

Is it just me or for the last couple of years do these feel like haunted days?

I didn't know her but I've read several tributes like yours. It would be wonderful to know that we are thought of that way when we're gone.
